I’ve always loved jewelry and gemstones even though I’m a guy. I never really felt comfortable wearing anything like a bracelet, a necklace, or a even a watch. But, I always had wanted a pierced ear, so I few years ago I went and had it done.

Until recently I had been alternating between wearing a tiny (3mm) white gold ball stud and a 1/10th of a carat Diamond in white gold. I’ve gotten bored of that so I started "collecting" the smallest birthstone studs I can find. So far I have a Garnet, a Sapphire, and an Emerald.

In your opinion, is it ok for guys to wear colored gems too?

Every two games have a 3rd such as Yellow for Red and Blue, Crystal for Gold and silver, and Emerald for Ruby and Sapphire. So was wondering what the 3rd for Diamond and Pearl would be.

She’s not going to wear an engagement ring and a wedding on the same finger, so I want the wedding ring to have a diamond. But what then do I put on the engagement ring? My goldsmith recommends against an emerald (her birthstone) since they can be a real pain.

I have a .5 carat (appx) emerald cut, yellow gold solitare diamond engagement ring I want to sell, but am not sure what is reasonable to ask for it. It has been worn, but is not damaged.
It was purchased at Helzberg Diamonds, and I believe it was about 00 originally.
