I LOVE the Ritani Romantique ring, with the filagrie and smaller diamonds. Where else can I find older looking rings? Something with alot of carving or ornate designs. Nothing gaudy or huge though, too.

Do engagement rings have to have a diamond or other type of stone in them? Could it just be a simple white gold band with ornate designs on it? My boyfriend wants to go shopping for an engagement ring with me but I don’t want him to worry about the price of diamonds or other jewels. I’m always afraid I’d lose the stone or chip them. When did it become a rule that engagement rings had to have a diamond in them?
