My guy bought me a 2.5 yellow diamond for our engagement and now i’m afraid to wear it out. I was thiniking about trading it in for a smaller one, but i can’t decide if i want white or yellow? shoudl i even trade it in at all? I can’t wear it it is way to expensive (like grand total). It’s a little obnixious, what do i do? if u were me what would u do?

Okay, if I were you, I would choose a white diamond ring. I think it looks better as white and sparkley. Whatever makes you feel more comfrotable. Pick the right one for you.

I would totally wear it! You’ll get used to it and besides he picked it out for you! Lucky girl……….all I have is a .25 carat Canardly diamond (you "can hardly" see it!)
best wishes…………………

Tell him what you like and how you really feel. He will understand.. just explain it to him in a nice and sweet way. Just use your charms. <*-*>

some people don’t get diamonds. I just got engaged and didn’t get one (we can’t afford one) be happy you got one that was so expensive and wear it.

I would wear that ring with all the pride I had in the love it represented and the person that gave it to me.
OOPS! did I say that?

canary diamonds look pee-stained. i have a regular diamond.
you need to talk to him about it. personally, i think trading the ring in (for either a bigger or smaller stone) is obnoxious, and makes him think you aren’t appreciative of it. but if you are worried about losing it, then maybe getting a paste copy made up is the best option, since he’s ridiculously loaded. a $20,000 ring is just showing off. think about that before the marriage.

I think you should wear it with pride-unless you don’t like the ring style or the color of the diamond. If it is just the size, well, I wouldn’t worry about that too much.

I don’t like yellow. Get a Tiffany’s white colorless one. It would be smaller but perfect.

I would be grateful he chose something special for me, and close my mouth about anything negative about it.

Rock the ring! Why in the world couldn’t you wear it out? There are plenty of girls out there with bigger rings.

Yowza, you’re a lucky girl! He must looooove you
Tell him you feel uncomfortable that you spent so much on it, that of course you feel greatly loved and appreciate it so much, but feel maybe to aim for something smaller?
I’m unsure about guys though, sometimes it’s touchy because they’ll think that’s what you wanted, but then when you complain it’s too big, he’ll be confused. If you know what I’m getting at, maybe just leave it and appreciate his thoughts.

I would get a really good insurance policy and wear the ring with pride. It seems that your only concern is the pricetag….not that you don’t like the ring.
You are very lucky to have a guy who loves you and can afford to give you something that extravagant. I wouldn’t want to hurt his feelings by taking back the ring he probably spent his whole heart picking out.
But since you asked…..I love the champagne diamonds (suede colored) although it’ll be a very long time before I can afford one
